Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib Medical Group organizes the Irish fellowship Exam in Internal Medicine
In a qualitative development in the field of Continuous Medical Education, Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) succeeded to organize the test for the MRCPI in Internal Medicine for the first time in the private healthcare sector in KSA. HMG organized the MRCPI exams in Rayan Hospital in Riyadh. This major comes after signing a mutual cooperation agreement between the Academic Affairs Department in the group and the he Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Based on this agreement HMG will organize the final exams for the MRCPI. By this agreement Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group aims to develop the performance of the healthcare practitioners and enrich the quality of their services in addition to creating new opportunities in the filed of medical education in compliance with Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Awad Al Omari Associate Vice President Academic Affairs at Dr. Suliman Al Habib Medical Group said “The group’s vision since its establishment considers continuous medical education an integral part of its goals and activities. During the last years the group has organized many scientific conferences and workshops both on the international and local levels aiming at developing the quality of our healthcare services for our patients”.
He added “The Academic Affairs Department has accumulated experience in the field of training and education and achieved successive successes. The department has also signed cooperation agreements with many international universities and institutions to create the best educational atmosphere according to the highest international criteria”.
Dr. Mogbil Al Hudaithi the Medical Director of Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Rayan Hospital said “Internal Medicine Consultant Dr. Salah Al Shafie was appointed to head the organizing committee for this MRCPI exam. We have received 40 applications from male and female physicians from inside and outside KSA to take this exam, while we have appointed 10 consultant examiners who are accredited for running this exam from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
Dr. Al Hudaithi concluded that the group will continue to organize the MRCPI exams in many other specialties and fellowships as he wished best luck for all examinees.
